Walk the Job
Free 20-30 min on-site visit. We read the slab (age, cracks, moisture, prior coatings), talk through finish options, and quote a firm price, not a range, not a ‘starting at’ bait.
Diamond Grind + Prep
Mechanical grinding to the correct CSP profile. Crack chasing and mechanical repair (not cosmetic filler). Moisture testing. Ambient conditions logged. This is where coating life is determined.
Prime + Base Coat
Primer matched to the slab’s porosity. Base coat rolled and back-rolled to spec thickness. Temperature and humidity re-verified before every pour.
Decorative Layer
Flake broadcast, metallic pigment swirl, quartz broadcast, or color coat depending on your system. This is the visible finish, applied with time-tested technique, not on-site improvisation.

A shower floor pour requires the same surgical attention as a live-edge tabletop: substrate has to be perfectly prepped, slope to drain has to be exact, the waterproof membrane has to be installed correctly under the pour, and the topcoat has to be the right chemistry to handle daily water and soap exposure.
We don’t take shower pour jobs from contractors who treat it like a side hustle. Every pour gets the same prep discipline as a commercial install, because the cost of doing it wrong is exponentially higher than doing it right the first time.

01Why pick epoxy over tile for a shower floor?
Three reasons: (1) no grout lines, nothing to scrub, nothing to mildew, nothing to seal annually; (2) one-piece waterproof surface, no leak path between tiles; (3) custom color and shape capability that tile can't match. The downside: it requires real installation skill. A botched epoxy shower fails worse than tile.
02Is the surface slip-safe?
Yes, we add a slip-safe grit additive to the topcoat. Coarser blend than standard floor installs because shower floors are wet 100% of the time you're using them. Required for code in some jurisdictions.
03How does the drain integrate?
We install a linear drain channel (or center drain depending on your design) before the pour. The epoxy is poured around the drain with the correct slope. The result is a seamless transition from floor to drain, no transition strip, no leak path.
04Will it leak?
Not if it's installed correctly. The substrate gets a waterproof membrane (Schluter Kerdi or equivalent) before the epoxy pour. The epoxy itself is the second layer of waterproofing. Two-layer redundancy, if one fails, the other holds. Tile-only installs don't do this.
05How long does it take to install?
5-7 days from start to use. Day 1-2: substrate prep + waterproof membrane install. Day 3: drain integration + slope verification. Day 4: epoxy pour. Day 5-6: topcoat with cure windows. Day 7: light use. We coordinate with your plumbing schedule for drain rough-in.
06Can you do curbless / walk-in showers?
Yes, that's actually where epoxy shines. Curbless showers need a continuous waterproof surface from drain to dry zone. Tile installs always have a grout line at the transition. Epoxy doesn't. ADA-compliant designs are common.
07What does an epoxy shower floor cost?
Custom epoxy shower floor pours are priced by size, complexity, drain type, and color work. Comparable to mid-grade tile installation when you factor in waterproofing membrane and labor. Considerably less hassle in years 5-10 (no grout to scrub).
08Do you warranty shower pours?
Yes, written workmanship warranty on every shower pour including the waterproof seal. If the floor leaks or the surface fails because of our work, we come back and make it right. Tile installers won't warranty against grout failure.

Two-Layer Waterproofing
Schluter Kerdi membrane under the epoxy, epoxy itself as the second layer. Redundant waterproofing, if one fails, the other holds. Tile installs don't do this.
Verified Slope to Drain
Slope to drain measured and verified before the pour, not eyeballed. Water has to flow to the drain on every square inch, standing water is what eats the topcoat.
Slip-Safe Coarse Grit
Coarser slip-safe additive than standard floor installs. Shower floors are wet 100% of use, we don't skimp on the grit blend.
Workmanship Warranty
Written warranty including the waterproof seal. If the floor leaks or the surface fails because of our work, we come back. Tile installers won't do that.
