Four Reasons Epoxy Belongs Across Dallas County
Same climate. Same soil. Same housing trends. Dallas County shares the same epoxy fundamentals as the rest of DFW.
Newer Housing Stock
Dallas County is a mix of every era, historic 1920s slabs in M Streets and Lakewood, mid-century Preston Hollow, and new-construction north and west. Slab age dictates prep scope; we measure first.
Garage epoxyPool-Heavy Backyards
Pool decks are common in Highland Park, Lakewood, North Dallas, and the Las Colinas area. Heat-reflective epoxy stays 20-30°F cooler than bare concrete in Texas summer.
Pool deck epoxyPremium Finishes Demand
Highland Park, University Park, Preston Hollow, high-end residential where premium decorative finishes (custom metallic, framed countertops) are common spec.
Metallic epoxyHouston Black Clay Soil
Dallas County slabs sit on Houston Black clay that swells and shrinks seasonally. We chase cracks and isolate where needed, the floor flexes with the slab.

Counties we cover
Dallas County is one of four counties in our regular service area: Collin, Dallas, Tarrant, and Denton. Dallas County is our home county. Most of our work, historic-downtown slabs alongside premium new-builds. Same prep standard, both sides.
How we schedule across the county
We batch by neighborhood and zip when we can. If your project lines up with an existing Collin County trip, we can usually schedule within a week. Standalone jobs schedule within 2-3 weeks.
Quote My Dallas County ProjectWhat Dallas County Says After the Cure
Installs across Dallas County, all neighborhoods. Unprompted, unedited.
“The prep work was night and day versus the quote I got from a one-day installer. They diamond-ground the slab, chased every crack, and pulled moisture readings before they quoted the product. The floor looks incredible two years in, no chipping, no yellowing.”
“The crew walked every inch of the shop, talked through product options with me, and didn't try to up-sell to a more expensive system. They spec'd exactly what the space needed. Eighteen months of daily shop-floor use later, it still looks new.”
“Custom metallic pour for our basement bar. I've seen metallic floors that look muddy or busy; this one has depth and movement and every guest asks about it. Worth every dollar.”
“Schedule mattered for us because the warehouse can't sit idle. They hit the dates they quoted, worked around our shift change, and handed the floor back with a cure plan that didn't cost us a production day.”
How We Work
Walk the Job
Every job starts standing on your slab. Its age, any prior coating, and the cracks decide the prep, and the prep decides the price. That is why the quote comes back as one fixed figure.
Diamond Grind + Prep
This is the slow part, and we don’t hurry it. Grinding sets the profile, cracks get a structural repair, and we write down temperature and humidity so the next coats go on under known conditions.
Prime + Base Coat
These are the coats that hold everything up. Primer is chosen for how porous the slab is, and the base coat is measured to thickness.
Decorative Layer
Here the finish you picked off the sample board goes down for real. The technique comes from years of resin work, so the look is planned ahead instead of figured out on the floor.
Countywide
A Dallas-County Regular, Not a Drive-By.
Cody spent ten years pouring live-edge resin tabletops before launching Sherwood's. Dallas County is one of our regular service areas, not because we drove through once, but because we crew up across the county 5x/wk on average.
Dallas County specifics matter. Dallas County is our home base. Half our work happens here, from historic-downtown slabs in Lakewood and M Streets to luxury new-builds in Preston Hollow and Highland Park. Most contractors quote one Dallas County job and never come back, they treat it as a long drive from Dallas. We treat the whole county as a primary territory.
That's why the prep on a Sherwood's install looks so different from the “1-day” quote you got from the crew that drove up the highway. We don't skip diamond-grinding, we don't skip moisture testing, and we don't pour over conditions we can't verify, in Dallas, in Dallas County, anywhere we work.

One Pour, One Pattern
Photos from past jobs show the style, never a copy you’ll receive. Each metallic floor is worked live, and the movement is set by how the pigment behaves in your space that day.
UV-Stable, Wash-Clean
Sealed under a clear urethane topcoat that resists yellowing, hot tires, household chemicals, and a mop-and-bucket weekly clean. The metallic layer never sees a shoe.
Sample Boards, Live Walk
Colors look different under garage lights than they do on a website. We bring sample boards to your place and hold them in your own light so you aren’t guessing.
